Introduction
Over the years, Creative Activity has proudly partnered with Moneynick Primary School to help enhance learning, play, wellbeing, and inclusion across the school environment. As a trusted local supplier, Creative Activity has supported the school through a wide range of bespoke projects, helping staff create engaging spaces and opportunities for every pupil.
From outdoor learning environments and sensory resources to playground equipment and SEN support tools, this long-term partnership has been built on trust, flexibility, and a shared commitment to supporting children throughout their primary education journey.

Background & Vision
Located just outside Randalstown in County Antrim, Moneynick Primary School has continually invested in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment for its pupils.
The school required a supplier who could offer more than just products. They needed a partner who understood the evolving needs of a busy primary school environment - someone capable of delivering versatile solutions, accommodating different learning needs, supporting SEN provision, and helping staff bring new ideas to life over time.
Creative Activity became that trusted partner, working closely with the school across multiple projects over several years.
The Challenge
Like many schools, Moneynick Primary School faced the challenge of finding a reliable supplier that could meet a wide variety of educational, sensory, outdoor, and wellbeing needs under one roof.
The school wanted equipment and resources that would:
- Support all pupils, including children with SEN
- Encourage active play and outdoor learning
- Promote emotional wellbeing and sensory regulation
- Adapt to different age groups and learning styles
- Provide long-term value and durability
- Be delivered and installed seamlessly with minimal disruption
Most importantly, they wanted a supplier relationship built on trust, understanding, and consistent support over time.
Solution
Creative Activity worked closely with the team at Moneynick Primary School to deliver a range of tailored solutions that supported both education and wellbeing across the school.
Inclusive Playground Swings
Most recently, the school installed a brand-new set of swings through Creative Activity. The project was seamless from start to finish, with three different types of swings chosen to provide inclusive play opportunities for different pupils and abilities.
The swings have become a valuable addition to the playground, encouraging active play, enjoyment, and social interaction for all children.
Freestanding Trim Trail
The school’s trim trail is used every single day and has become a central part of pupil activity and development.
Children use the trail during free play, obstacle courses, games, and imaginative activities. It has helped pupils develop:
- Balance and coordination
- Strength and conditioning
- Confidence in movement
- Social interaction through group play
The versatility of the equipment means it can support both structured PE activities and spontaneous imaginative play throughout the school day.
Outdoor Classrooms & Sandhouse
Creative Activity also supplied two outdoor classrooms and a sandhouse, helping the school expand learning beyond the traditional classroom setting.
These spaces are used daily for lessons, after-school activities, and interactive learning experiences. Teachers regularly use them for subjects such as:
- Geography
- Maths treasure hunts
- Outdoor learning activities
- Creative and collaborative play
The covered roofs ensure the spaces remain practical and accessible even during wet weather, allowing outdoor learning to continue year-round.
Polytunnel & Mud Kitchen
The school’s polytunnel and mud kitchen have provided pupils with hands-on learning opportunities that connect children with nature and encourage creativity.
The polytunnel allows pupils to learn about:
- Planting and gardening
- Growing flowers and vegetables
- Responsibility and teamwork
- Understanding the growth process from beginning to end
Meanwhile, the mud kitchen has become a fantastic sensory and wellbeing resource. It gives children opportunities to:
- Explore imaginative play
- Manage emotions and reduce stress
- Enjoy fresh air and outdoor experiences
- Engage with nature in a calming environment
These spaces have become an important part of the school’s holistic approach to wellbeing.
Sensory Circuits
As part of the school’s commitment to supporting all learners, Creative Activity helped provide sensory circuits across two halls within the school.
The sensory circuits form part of a holistic movement programme designed to give children active movement breaks throughout the day. These circuits help improve primitive movement patterns and support children’s ability to focus, regulate, and engage in learning.
The circuits are used daily and are particularly effective for:
- Alerting and energising pupils
- Organising movement and coordination
- Calming and regulating the senses
- Supporting concentration and emotional wellbeing
The programme has benefited children across the entire school community.
Results & Impact
The partnership between Creative Activity and Moneynick Primary School has helped create a more engaging, inclusive, and supportive environment for pupils and staff alike.
The resources and equipment provided have:
- Enhanced outdoor learning opportunities
- Increased active play and physical development
- Supported SEN provision and sensory regulation
- Encouraged creativity and imagination
- Promoted emotional wellbeing and resilience
- Helped staff deliver more versatile and engaging lessons
Most importantly, the long-standing relationship has allowed the school to continuously evolve its environment with confidence, knowing they have a dependable local partner who understands their needs.
