Product Description

Bring history to life with this engaging artefact.

Engaging history classroom resources are essential for bringing historical periods to life. This ancient Greek oil lamp, dating back to the third century, serves as the perfect addition, constructed from clay using a mould with an authentic design.

Integrate it into lessons on the Stone Age to Iron Age, aligning with Key Stage 2 curriculum requirements. Its presence helps illustrate changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, including Bronze Age religion, technology, and travel. It can also be a focal point for exploring Iron Age hill forts, tribal kingdoms, farming, art, and culture.

Moreover, the intricate designs on the lamp make it suitable for historical art projects. Children can examine the patterns and motifs to gain insights into ancient Greek art and pottery techniques, fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of historical artefacts.
