Each card has a starting visual on the front, with an activity on the reverse to get your Yr 3 pupils thinking!
Take problem solving outside! These A5 activity cards link to the National Numeracy Framework.

Outdoor Maths Problem Solving Cards provide an engaging solution for Year Three. Each card features a visual prompt on the front and an activity on the back, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving in an outdoor environment. They include key questions, vocabulary, suggested resources, and settings, making them versatile for various scenarios.

By integrating these activities into outdoor lessons, teachers can make maths more interactive, fostering a deeper understanding of concepts.

Constructed from laminated card, the 30-card pack is designed to withstand outdoor use. This durability and versatility make it a practical resource for engaging an entire class in meaningful numeracy activities, supporting the National Numeracy Framework effectively.

The activities encourage mathematical oracy, allowing children to express their thoughts and ideas fluently through speech, and articulate their mathematical thinking and reasoning. Through discussion, pupils develop deeper understanding of the maths they are learning. The cards also give teachers the chance to assess what pupils know and understand.
